Rode VideoMic Pack with Rycote Mount and Accessories

The RØDE VideoMic is a professional grade 1/2" condenser shotgun microphone designed for use with consumer video cameras and personal audio recorders. It features the integrated Rycote shock mounting system, which provides isolation from external physical factors that may cause unwanted rumble and vibrations in the microphone. This system isolates the VideoMic capsule and electronics from its all-metal shoe mount. The standard sized shoe mount also includes a 3/8" thread in the base for easy mounting on the included boom pole and adaptor.

The On Stage MBP7000 boom pole is machined from a sturdy and lightweight aluminum, allowing you to mount your microphone securely and follow your sound source with ease. With three telescopic rods and a twist-and-lock system, you can quickly and efficiently extend the length from 3.1-8.1 feet. This package also includes a 25 ft. extension cable to connect the Videomic to your camera when mounted on a fully extended boom pole.

The super cardioid polar pattern of the RØDE VideoMic is highly directional, focusing on the subject in front of the camera while minimizing surrounding sounds. Additionally, it offers a native 40Hz-20kHz response and a selectable high-pass filter at 80 Hz to prevent low end noise from being recorded.

The microphone also includes a -10 dB and -20 dB level attenuation (or PAD) selectable from inside the battery compartment, which allows for recording of loud sound sources, such as live music or motorsport. The new RØDE VideoMic features an integrated shock mount based on Rycote Lyre technology, which provides superior acoustic suspension and will never wear out, sag or snap.
